The news portal “www.karfitsa.gr” provides continuous news flow of politics, economics, market, culture, environment, health, technology, media, lifestyle and international news.

About the Project

The Publishing Group decided to reconstruct the news portal, with the aim of highlighting the content and creating a handy and enjoyable browsing enviroment.

Implementation

The new, fully responsive news portal focuses on structure, functionality and visual appeal. Following the trends of modern design, we created an understandable and easy ti use enviroment, where the user can get easily and immediately updats for the news that interests him.

During the implementation of the news portal we used typography and several graphic icons in order to achieve the difference in the design. In addition, In order to highlight the most important news we created a big slider at the top of the page.

Content Presentation

All the news portal’s articles are being presented in a friendly and easy to read way. We also created a daily agenda so that every user has a quick and easily access to the events that are taking place.

Responsive Design

The website was built based on the techniques of Responsive Web Design and mobile first web design. Responsive design allows visitors to effectively view a website from any device they use for their browsing. The design and orientation of the elements are being moved and changed so that they are displayed correctly on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Images and content shrink and fit from three columns to two, and finally to a content column as the website automatically recognizes the screen resolution used by the visitor.
